Your Field of Dreams

You are NEVER out of options. You are just out of Possibility.
~ Janis Cohen

Time and time again I meet people who give up.

They just stop.

It’s not because they can’t do what they want to do or can’t be who they want to be.

Nor is it because they have completely let go of their dream (either big or small).

For some reason, they’re blocked.

Something has gotten to them.

In my practice, I am constantly talking to my clients about hope and faith.

Hope is the wish that something will happen while faith is the certainty that it will.

But there is one more piece to this puzzle; POSSIBILITY.

It stands between hope and faith; bridging the gap.

Hope lives in your head.

Faith lives in your heart.

Possibility lives in your soul.

You must find the place inside yourself where nothing is impossible.
~ Deepak Chopra

There is no dream that is lost or unable to be achieved.

What prevents most people from creating the life they want is the idea that there will be too many obstacles to overcome and that those obstacles are insurmountable.

Enter stage right:  “POSSIBILITY”.

Possibility is where all great discoveries are birthed.

Nothing can become something if it weren’t imagined in the first place.

In the movie, The Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner’s character Ray Kinsella, hears a voice that repeatedly says, “If you build it they will come.”

He didn’t know what that meant for him, but he felt compelled to move forward based on the possibility that it held a tremendous amount of significance for him.

Another voice told him to “Go the distance.”

He moved forward, sacrificed a great deal, risked public humiliation and taunts of lunacy, to create something tangible from the voice within.

His openness to possibility fueled the urgency.

He wasn’t going to let anyone or anything stop him from doing what he KNEW needed to be done.

He opened up his mind, welcomed the guidance, and shined his light for all of the world to see.

He found meaning in the messages inside himself; ” Don’t give up and reconnect with what matters.”

“Dwell in Possibility.”
~ Emily Dickenson

You can be beat down by life if you choose or you can fight for what you want.

You can let others discourage you, accepting as your own, THEIR projected limitations or you can actively reject their attempts to keep you small.

You can let you dreams die fast because you don’t know HOW you are going to make something happen or you can open your mind up to possibility and flex your thinking.

Your light is meant to shine.

When you shine your light it serves as a beacon for others to shine theirs.

It’s a call to arms that says, “I will let nothing stop me from claiming victory of my dreams.  For I AM the one who considers that all things are possible.”

Find that place deep within you that gently and consistently lets possibility take a deep breath.

Then let it breath again and again and again.

Breath into possibility as many times as it takes for you to summon up the roar that doesn’t stop until your outcome has been reached.

There is nothing in your way.

There are no limitations; only imagined resistance that disguises itself as fear and doubt.

So, fan your wings and create a stir.

Your time has come and the time is NOW.

So fly broad and high and far.

And while you are in the air, looking at the vast landscape of your field of dreams, sing the song:

“This little light of mine.  I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it SHINE.”

Anything is possible.

In love and light,

Janis
